The location was ideal for visiting chateaux west of Tours. It was well out of town (Langeais) and therefore quiet. The location also meant that we stayed in each night (three nights) for dinner. Amelie was a wonderful cook, and we had three delicious home cooked meals. Amelie's English was much better than my French. Amelie also provided advice on chateau visiting.

I wish I could describe in words how amazing this place is. The cottage is very charming, really has all the things you need. There are so many utensils in the kitchen that I was even able to bake a cake. The pool is large, so you can swim laps in it and Patricia and Pierre's estate is beautiful. It is even so big that sometimes you don't run into each other for days. We stocked up on food and barely made it off the site. We read books in the sun, had wine at the pool and watched the chicken wander around the park. Thank you Patricia and Pierre for this great experience and we hope to come back to stay at your lovely gîte.
