Peace and tranquility, privacy and being able to have our dogs stay with us. It's also fab to be able to park right outside, especially for loading and unloading! The bilingual owner is very welcoming and helpful. You can set off on foot to follow several hiking paths. Our hosts were great. Very helpful and always had time for us. The location was perfect, with only a 30 min drive to most places we wanted to visit. Apart from the terrible heatwave induced forest fires, the views were of the beautiful Breton countryside. Stunning. We'd loved to have eaten in the onsite restaurant, but due to the heatwave, stuck with small light meals.

Just about everything! The facilities were excellent; M Gex's property is very traditional and beautiful, with a huge garden and plenty of room to walk around. Upstairs was light and airy with several skylights. The area is peaceful and there are lots of places of interest nearby and further afield on the Crozon and Raz peninsulas. A lovely part of France, and M Gex has obviously dedicated years of work to restoring a huge property; work is still ongoing. Wildlife bonus - a pair of barn owls are present and had 2 young on view most nights on our roof or the adjoining roof! A real privilege to see them so close up.

Super-quiet location. Fascinating and slightly quirky property (and host!). If you're looking for a Premier Inn level of blandness then this probably won't suit you.
