The hilltop location of the hotel provided an awesome view both in the evening sunset and in the morning when the mountain mist was rolling by. The hotel and complex was interesting to walk around and explore.
The hotel staff really added to our stay; they were genuinely interested in what our plans were and responded with some really useful information.
Access to Bilbao from the hotel was very straightforward.
Zezilionea is located in Olaberría, just off the A-1 Motorway connecting Madrid with Irún. Surrounded by mountains, it has a traditional Basque restaurant with a terrace.

Central location in Zegama, perfect as a starting point for hikes in the Aizkorri-Aratz natural park. Spacious and clean room. Quiet at night, perfect to relax. The lady running the bar really went out of her way to provide a warm meal for us while she had to serve drinks to other guests in the bar in parallel - we were really grateful for her efforts!
This was an interesting place to stay. The staff were lovely and the room was fine. The location looking over the terrace and towards the square was both heaven and hell. It seemed wonderful at first sight, but...
