Firstly, I’ll start by saying that, Alcantara is a hidden gem destination in Spain. Perhaps a little bias, as I’ve been visiting for 10 years. Nonetheless the place is a natural beauty! So location wise, if you want a relaxing Spanish countryside stay, here is the place.
The hotel itself is cool and a unique stay, the fittings and the history behind the building is very cool. Staff, like most people in the village, are very friendly and helpful to someone with mediocre Spanish vocabulary.
My favourite part of the stay was the walk back to the hotel at the end of my day, really was pretty at sunset/sunrise.
These studios are located just 22 km from Portugal and by the Embalse de Álcantara where you can practise a number of aquatic sports. Prepare meals in the studios’ kitchens.
