Effective AC and good wifi; the fridge freezer was on and cold on arrival. Free on street parking on Calle Convento, a few metres away; 9 min walk to Plaza Mayor. Check in and entry is all online. The property itself was beautiful with 2 large windows opening out on to the most beautiful square with restaurants , bars and a church. We were there on a Sunday so got to experience and share a family Sunday with the warmest of Spanish people . Probably our favourite stop off experience to date . We have been coming to Spain for years with our dog cali by ferry to Bilbao and stopover somewhere different each time on our trip south to Malaga . We will definitely return to Valdepenas and blanco y Añil

Staff on check in were very helpful, speaking English as well as Spanish, of course. The food was better than we expected, and the lady in the restaurant was clearly overworked, but she maintained a cheerful attitude which we appreciated very much.
The room was huge - much bigger than we expected for the price we paid. And clean, which was important. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The location is remote, beautiful scenery surrounds you. The pool are is great, the spa is really good too. Rooms are large and have everything you need for a few nights, very comfortable. Staff were all friendly and professional.
