Katia, our host, was muy simpatica. She endeavours to meet all needs, which extended to making me camomile tea, for medicinal purposes! We appreciated a 'proper' double bed! The breakfast was creatively presented from an extensive selection, and delicious. The location is beautiful, both on site and in the surrounding area. We were given an excellent restaurant recommendation, and the booking there was made for us by Katia. We didn't visit the local beach purely because we only had a one night stay. The property has lovely grounds to sit and walk/play in. Would be super for children too.

The staff were so warm and helpful particularly the lovely Patricia. The hotel is quirky, full of character with a beautiful garden where we enjoyed drinks. It sits on the Camino route and is a delightful stop off.

In all the places we have stayed in Spain (and there are many), this ranks very highly. The receptionist was charming a nd couldn't have been more helpful, even helping to carry out bags up to our room.
The room was absolutely wonderful - huge bed, lots of space, and tucked under the eaves with a panoramic view over the harbour. We found free parking down at the harbour near the RULA Restaurant and there is more as you enter town, so don't be put off by the fact that the hotel doesn't offer its own parking.

The host has really detailed instructions for how to get there and for what to see in the area, which are very handy because it's quite remote and you need to build your route smart in order to see the most of it. It was an interesting experience arriving to the accommodation and finding out that it's one street with only 3-4 houses and a dozen of cats on top of a mountain. We really enjoyed our breakfast and the clever selection of ham/cheese. The house is very authentic and we glad to have experienced that during our visit to Asturias.

Great location but you will need a car if you want to get to a supermarket… the village of Tazones doesn’t have such facilities…
