Everything was fantastic. It was very clean and the breakfast was very good. Fresh orange juice and croissants included. It was the best stay on the camino and I can highly recommend it!

The host communicated with a helpful document about the property and area. We stayed in Casa Godello, a duplex house with a spiral staircase which our cat especially loved. The kitchen, while small, is quite well equipped. The second floor sleeping area feels amazingly spacious and calm. The bed was quite ample and comfortable. The bathroom was also very spacious. The property is quiet and welcoming, in a rural environment but convenient to services, if you have a car. At one point, we were alarmed to discover that our cat had slipped out of a window that we left a little too much ajar, and our host was very responsive. We would definitely repeat.

Beautifully restored building and decor. Our room was comfortable and well appointed.

Petra and Wim, July 2024: Casa Vella da Rivela is an exceptional find! The location is beautifully atmospheric, spotless, and centrally situated, perfect for visiting Santiago de Compostela. However, the real highlight is the incredible hospitality of Diego and Xin. They go above and beyond to make guests feel welcome, offering excellent tourist tips and delicious breakfasts. Highly recommended!”
Absolutely fantastic place. Spotlessly clean. Fabulous owners who go above and beyond. Breakfast amazing and we had a communal tapas dinner made by the owner and her spanish neighbour. A little off the beaten track but well worth it. Owners showed us a short cut back to the Camino 😀
Thank you so much for the great stay! It is a really beautiful fully equipped place. The hosts are super friendly and helpful. We have an amazing view from our room's window and the bed is really comfortable. I strongly recommend to anyone because this place has a great location from the Pilgrims route.
We loved the beautiful quiet location ( not too far from the Camino path). The hosts Diego and Xin
made us feel so welcome , with many little touches- chocolate in pillow, free bottled water in the room, free toiletries. Xin made us a fabulous evening meal which we enjoyed with other pilgrims. Real care and attention to detail was given by this lovely couple. Xin took us to the woodland path short cut to Camino the next morning.
This is your little gem that one only so very seldom finds. The personal reception, the unique quiet location and the rooms all are more then excellent. The hospitality reflects the passion they have. As pelgrims we were all invited to a pelgrim dinner with a combination of all kinds of spanish and asian style tapas. The self service bar offers a great choice. And the breakfast again reflects their care for details. By far the most special stay on the Camino. Highly recommend it.
Pretty much everything- lovely old house, nice sized rooms, very clean and comfortable, fabulous hosts, good food, quiet location, close to Santiago. Honesty bar for drinks and snacks. Free cycle loan. Perfect for a short or extended stay. Diego and Xi are fabulous and have thought of pretty much everything to make your stay special.
