A modern, family run hotel which is located right on the beach front, and in close proximity to shops and restaurants, one of which is in the Michelin guide. Unai, who organises breakfast is an absolute star, he couldn’t do enough to make our stay comfortable. We loved the decor, large comfortable bed, and great shower. A great find.

The hotel itself is really stunning and charming. The room is clean and huge. We went by motorbike so the location wasn't an issue for us, and the surrounding is just beautiful. We loved our stay there!
Smart and slick hotel - they know what they're about. Friendly welcome from all staff, very helpful and efficient. They obviously have a large footfall and know what they are doing.
Having said all that the hotel doesn't come across as clinical, they still manage to make you feel comfortable and valued.

Excellent location near airport and nevertheless a rural atmosphere, very spacious rooms in romantic historical setting, and nice beakfast. All for a very reasonable price.
Very nice place in a beautiful area. We even saw deer from our window. Everything very clean. Great location for day-trips. We also enjoyed the breakfast. Tables were set nicely and the people working there were very friendly and made us feel welcome.
Basoan is located in a very peaceful and relaxing location. Everything was as expected, very clean and new, easy to access, plenty of parking. All the staff were friendly. The breakfasts were perfect, plenty of food and the two breakfast ladies very helpful, answering any questions about the local area/places to go and advice. We enjoyed the pool - plenty of sun loungers.
The house and apartments are perfectly equipped and designed with eye for detail. Breakfasts were delicious and on request vegan & vegetarian options were provided. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Also the location was ideal! One can both just stay and enjoy surrounding greenery, silence and calming views or explore Basque Country and Bilbao that is just a few minutes away.
All in all, I loved the place and definitely want to come back in the future.
Outstanding property, very clean and comfortable. Depending on your needs you might find the location good or bad. For a place not in a big city, with free parking and close to many places worth visiting in the Basque Country the location was just perfect. Last but most important the hostess made me feel like home from the first moment.
