This place is a gem. The rooms are great with the opportunity to use the pool and sauna, and the food was amazing (best we have had this trip). The owners also kindly picked us up from the Camino and dropped us back on the trail the next day. Would highly recommend a stay here if you have the opportunity..

We had a brilliant week staying at Basoan. The staff are fantastic and very helpful. The breakfast is lovely and healthy. And the surrounding area is beautiful. We saw deer every day.
Bilbao is a 45 minute bus ride away so you can't just pop into the town. But if you are fine with that then we would definitely recommend Basoan. We didn't find this a problem at all during our stay, it was nice to visit the city then escape back to the mountains. The location is also close to some nice beaches (40 mins by bus). Mungia is a 45 minute walk or ten minute bus ride away and is also worth a visit for some local bars / restaurants and supermarkets.
We will be back.

Fabulous location so restful and peaceful to recharge the body and mind. Beautiful bedroom and en-suite. Some excellent restaurants nearby both local and Michelin Starred. The host was exceptionally kind.

Excellent location. Close to shops, bars, and pubs. The metro is nearby. Safe district of Bilbao. The apartment is clean with new furnishings. Helpful and nice owners. Living here, you will see the life of the real Bilbao without tourists :)

Beautiful Casa Rural, lovely and helpful lady owner, really accommodating, superb location and a real haven having walked 25kms in pouring rain. It put life back in us and a huge smile on our faces PLUS we had an excellent dinner and breakfast too...highly recommend staying here.
The woman running the hotel was helpful, kind and went out of her way to assist us. The breakfast was excellent and very good value. The room was quite basic but spotlessly clean.

While the property if a bit of a hike out of town (and up hill), the staff were welcoming and accommodation. The dinner and breakfast were great after a day hiking the Camino. The rooms were cozy, and they had a great view over the hills. It was a peaceful location.
I like the lady at the reception she was so kind and nice! The hotel and rooms were very clean. Food was good. Garden was very nice chill and get calm after a long week. Totally recommend
The host is just extremely kind, the property was very clean and the rooms were big with a large shower. There's a three star Michelin restaurant just next door which was closed but could be a special extra for some visitors.
