The lounge overlooks the main bridge and river through Potes - the views are stunning.
The apartment itself is well appointed (washing machine, iron, ironing board, etc) and clean.
The shower was excellent, and the beds were comfy.

We had a delightful stay. Amazing location with restaurants, bars and shops on your doorstep. The mountains just a short drive away and of course the monastery a lovely walk from the town. Amazing location, only 3km from Potes and walking from our door. Truly relaxing experience, Maria our fantastic host was fantastic also gave us a basket of fresh eggs and fruits from her property, really delicious.
Pool area a lovely bonus after a good days walking. We had a lovely little private area to sit outside and look at the mountains.
These excellent apartments are situated in the centre of the old town of Potes, the capital of the Picos de Europa mountain range and National Park.

For those on a budget, these cheap and cheerful hotels still have a lot to offer, with most offering WiFi and convenient locations. You’ll also find a number of options which feature a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage.
We loved the location of La Posada de Cucayo. It felt quiet and tranquil, with lots of options for beautiful hikes up into the surrounding mountains. The hotel itself was lovely and the owners were incredibly friendly! We felt really looked after. Their restaurant for dinners serves lovely food that is prepared using veg from their garden and meat from their own chickens and cattle. The included breakfast is more than substantial but if you want more, there is a small menu to order extras!
Superb location with views from the balcony to die for. Tina and Anna were excellent as hosts and the whole atmosphere was so friendly and accommodating. This was an exceptional stay for us.

We liked the owners best, Tina, Anna, Marissa and Alberto and their lovely mum. The location was fabulous and the views stunning. The hotel was perfect and the food yummy. Hospitality from our hosts was outstanding but informal and without being overbearing. The were always ready to help us if we needed it and we would definitely like to visit again.
The location and drive are phenomenal. A basic level of Spanish is to be recommended but the staff is very helpful even if you do not master Spanish that well.

We had a wonderful time the host family were superb and made you feel at home. The food was good and the location ws stunning. We had a room with a balcony with a view of the mountains which changed as the day went on! lots of walks but very hilly. Very friendly little dog who took us for a walk! We also saw a cow having a caesarean in the farm yard.
The road up is very steep but fantastic.
Stunning location and views. Tina and her family were very welcoming and the service was exceptional at all times. This even extended to providing hand drawn maps and advice for hiking in the area. Would recommend it to anyone looking to get away from it all and would definitely visit Posada de Cucayo again. This is a very special place, none more so because of the welcome we received.
