Really beautiful green and natural location, very luxuous rooms. Good to have a car to explore the environment, bilbao and the coastline, and the restaurants nearby. The host is lovely and the breakfast too.

This apartment is a perfect size for a group of 5 people: 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms (1 with a shower and the other with a bathtub). It was super-clean and all the necessary things were included (sheets, towels, toiletries, hairdryer, fans, tv, wifi, kitchen utensils etc.). Huge closets! Jose, the owner, was very kind giving us all the information we needed and asking every so often if we needed anything else. We also got a complementary bottle of wine and lots of figs from his wife’s garden (delicious!). Apart from the fact that the airport is just around the corner, it’s a really quiet area, and if you’re awake between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. you won’t be bothered by the planes (they don’t fly at night). The bus stop is literally next to the house - one way you can get to the airport in 20 minutes, and the other way you can get to the center of Bilbao in 10 minutes. If you have a car there are parking options all around the house. A small grocery store, a pharmacy and a few bars/restaurants are within a 5-minute walk.

10 is not enough. Perfect in every aspect. Beautiful, comfortable, spotlessly clean apartment, delicious breakfasts, and above all, the greatest hosts - fulfilling every wish, providing good advice, and not being overbearing. We had a sense of intimacy in a separate part of the apartment, and the owners' presence on site was an added value. The best value for money. We travel a lot, but this stay made the greatest impression on us. Thank you very much.

Very friendly and helpful hosts, easy to reach them. House was spotless clean, bedroom was very spacious (very handy when travelling with a large dog). Good atmosphere and the location is great, also very close to the airport if travelling by car.

An excellent location for experiencing the Basque countryside and coast, with striking sea views and horses grazing nearby, as well as good train access to Bilbao and beaches. The breakfast was very tasty and offered a wide selection of culinary options. We especially enjoyed the onsite swimming pool, which was well-maintained and clean. Cristina is a warm and friendly host who went out of her way to be helpful at every opportunity.

We had a brilliant week staying at Basoan. The staff are fantastic and very helpful. The breakfast is lovely and healthy. And the surrounding area is beautiful. We saw deer every day. Bilbao is a 45 minute bus ride away so you can't just pop into the town. But if you are fine with that then we would definitely recommend Basoan. We didn't find this a problem at all during our stay, it was nice to visit the city then escape back to the mountains. The location is also close to some nice beaches (40 mins by bus). Mungia is a 45 minute walk or ten minute bus ride away and is also worth a visit for some local bars / restaurants and supermarkets. We will be back.

Beautiful house, I had a really nice room in the attic. The owner was really nice and welcoming, making sure I had all I could need. The countryside surrounding is breathtaking, all green and rolling hills. Unfortunately I did not have much time to enjoy that aspect this time as I had an early flight next day. The connection to the airport is fantastic, 10+ minutes by car, so it is an excellent alternative to a hotel airport.
