Casa de Cecilia is a cosy, comfy perfect base in Mindo. The garden with its humming birds is incredible and there is a lot of space to sit and enjoy the peaceful location with the river running past. We stayed at Las Terrazas de Dana for 4 nights. It is a real oasis! Our room with the terrace was very nice. The garden is beautifully landscaped and you can watch hummingbirds and other beautiful birds from your own terrace. The breakfast is rich and delicious. David is very helpful and friendly. Marco and Freddy are also always concerned about the well-being of the guests. The whole staff is very friendly. We had also booked a bird tour through David. The tour with our guide Natalie was very good. We were able to see many birds. David also arranged cab transportation to the airport for us. The cab ride was pleasant and relaxing. We would definitely book this accommodation again and can only recommend it.

Though I originally booked the "Deluxe Suite with Spa Bath" online, I didn't realize that - though beautiful - it wasn't situated directly along the river. But upon checking in, when I gently questioned the location of the suite - without a moment's hesitation, the staff immediately led me to the (even more stunning) upgraded "Superior Suite" - likewise with a private jacuzzi directly above the gurgling river - at no extra charge. Without question, among the most magical accommodations in my (40+ years/50+ countries) of solo travels! Everything about Saguamby is of the highest quality, and the staff - ever attentive and helpful. Utterly tranquil, close to town, and strong wifi. Plus... a most bountiful and delicious breakfast each morning served within a few feet of that glorious river. Thanks to All at Saguamby for making my visit to Mindo so very memorable!
