We got a big room, quiet and neat, with a balcony with view of the mountains. The hotel has a spa area, sauna and an outdoor bio pool - all a great add-on to the authentic German experience, even in the autumn where we visited the hotel for the second, and definitely not the last, time 😊

The breakfast and all the meals at the hotel were truly excellent. I would encourage people to stay at this hotel for the food alone, but the staff were all courteous, effective and helpful. This is a fine example of a fine family owned hotel with excellent food. The location in a pretty village about 12 miles from downtown Freiburg was very good for walking and enjoying the open air life.

This was a repeat visit because we were so delighted the previous time. Our 3 night stay fulfilled all expectations -- the room and the facilities were excellent, the host is exceedingly friendly and helpful. In addition to breakfast (excellent and included), we also had two dinners there. We found the food as well as the service excellent and superior to the other places we know in the area. --- We most certainly will return to this place the next time we are in the Freiburg and St. Peter area.
