My boyfriend and I stayed here for four nights as we discovered the delicious German wines in this region. Ebi was a wonderful host and made our stay even more memorable. He is engaging and very attentive. We would definitely recommend his spacious lower level to any couple and their dog. It has everything you need and offers an excellent starting point for exploring the area’s beautiful landscape. Several trails though the vineyards with only footsteps away. The value for the money was superb and the family that runs the house is just wonderful. The apartment we stayed in was inside the courtyard (which can be locked by the same key as the room key), and up one flight of stairs. The apartment had one bathroom, which - though fairly small - was fully stocked with very nice towels and shampoo. The bathroom is off the kitchen (which you enter when entering the house) and the two bathrooms are - in sequence - off the other side of the kitchen. The furthest bedroom had a very nice pullout couch in addition to the single bed. The family was VERY gracious and helpful and didn’t ever seem bothered by us, even when we needed help, etc. The little town (Appenheim) was also very idyllic and there is a great bakery about 100 yards from where you can park your car outside the gate…as well as a great high-end restaurant near a farm about a 3-minute drive down the road.

Room and everything was lovely. The restaurant has good basic German fare on the menu but we were too late for it. They made a snack for us rather than having to go out to the town. Breakfast was superb. Wine was available from a fridge in the dining room. The bedroom was great - large, airy with a full table for working from or for making a drink from the provided tea and coffee making tray. There was a terrace with comfortable table chairs and couch overlooking the courtyard.
