Host was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and she introduced us to great restaurants in the town for dinner, which were all delicious. Haus Nilson is the perfect place to stay in Gengenbach and make it as a base to explore Black Forest. Robin was very helpful, responsive and proactively helped us out with so many things. To stay here you definitely need a car and Robin went out of his way to help us secure a rented car (it was a long weekend, we were struggling but he had everything sorted for us). Robin's recommendations, tips were very helpful and really helped us plan our time in Black Forest well. The apartments are perfect for a big group / couple and there are many options. The apartment was well equipped, very clean and offered great views and surroundings. The kitchen is very well equipped if you want to cook. The beds were comfortable and the rooms are nice, spacious and well lit. We would definitely come back to Haus Nilson for our next trip to Black Forest
