Very nice location in the middle of Thuringen forests. A lot of cycling and hiking trails nearby. Hotel itself is very nice, a lot of space outside. Very quiet location. Hotel restaurant is very good, a bit expencive, but meals are good.

The property was located in a very quiet cul-de-sac, which was very easy to find with great instructions from the owners. The accommodation was beautifully maintained, it was extremely clean, comfortable and well equipped and parking was directly outside the property. The owners were helpful - they live next door, but were very unobtrusive. Lots of love and attention has gone into the accommodation and it is a credit to the owners - we would not hesitate to return

Spacious rooms, beds were a little on the firm side, but otherwise enough space and luckily no shared blankets, which was great (in Germany, separate blankets on double beds are very common). Large bathroom with storage for our bags and cosmetics. No air con, but despite hot weather the rooms were cool at night. All drinks in the room were free, which included a larger variety of alcohol free drinks. Breakfast was great.
Location is great in a quiet, leafy area of Suhl, but close to everything.
Particularly noteworthy was the friendliness of the staff and the outstanding Thuringian cuisine restaurant that is part of the hotel. Booking is strongly advised as the restaurant is popular. It's one of few restaurants across Thuringia that has the quality seal of making the "original Thuringian dumplings", so try those, along with some deer, stag or wild boar. Hunting is a big thing in Thuringia, so deer and boar will be on every menu. My deer stew with wild mushrooms and Thuringian dumplings was outstanding and soft.

Super nice hotel in the middle of Suhl, great place to stay if you are visiting Thuringen. Very friendly and helpful staff. Super nice room with view, located on the 10th floor. Cold beverages available from fridge in corridor free of charge, which was very nice on the warm day I visited Suhl. Parking close by, in garage next door. Hotel stay entitles you to discount prices at local attractions. Splendid breakfast with very big selection available.
