Friendly staff. Awesome location. We missed out on breakfast as we were leaving at 5.30am but they packed us a togo breakfast consisting of juice, fruit and a gourmet sandwich. This was excellent.

The rooms at Hotel El Secreto in La Fortuna are located in the middle of a beautiful garden and - when the weather is nice - you have a direct view of the El Arenal volcano. Our room was very spacious, clean and well equipped. As it rained quite a bit, the air conditioning was very useful, otherwise our clothes would never have dried. The pool and sun loungers were perfect for relaxing after an excursion. For breakfast you could choose between three options, which were good and sufficient. During breakfast you could watch the birds in the garden.The center is within 5 minutes walking distance. A sloth can often be found in the tree next to the entrance, which is of course very exciting.

The perfect place to explore the Arenal region. Leonardo and his family do everything necessary to enable you a wonderful stay, giving the best and individual recommendations possible.
They own a great little wood area next to the river taking you for night walks on site - we saw beautiful wildlife, especially frogs. Furthermore the breakfast area is very charming and the food authentic and really tasty. Cooked fresh right in front of you. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and super clean with super relaxing beds and the pool area is nice to spend some time after a day out. They also offer laundry service - which could be great help when getting soaked in a rain shower out at Arenal :)

Comfortable, big houses with a nice garden full of fruits. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the bathroom was really big. Location is great, not too far from La Fortuna, but quiet enought.
