Ana the host is very helpful. As we didnt have a car, she arranged for a taxi to take us to the local hot springs and also to Upala bus station so that we could then catch bus to La Fortuna.

The genuine kindness of our hosts was really moving.... Letting us
taste different types of juices...helping us to plan our visit to the volcano areas and helping our son who had a skinburn on his arms. The lodge itself is very authentic. The garden benefits from more than 40 years of carefully maintenance with lots of love..with flowers and trees you think you find yourself in a botanical garden. Hummingbirds are flying around your head during breakfast. And finally...the food was gorgeous...homegrown vegetables and fruits and produces such as ricotta cheese..very royal quantities...your own grand mother would not have spoiled you so well. I would highly recommend staying in these bungalows. We had one that had a private pool off the back deck. It was so nice to end and start our day in the private hot spring right outside our door! The staff are very attentive, printed off an activity sheet for us with things to do in the area and the food in the restaurant was good. We saw tucans, parrots and capybara on the grounds while we were in the hot springs.

The location is wonderful, right by "downtown" Bijagua. Diego, our host, was amazing, accommodating everything we asked and could have thought to want. Amazing value for quality of stay, beautiful garden, amazing atmosphere, and comfortable beds. The pictures online do not do it justice, and we all agreed that the price is a steal! Diego offered to taxi us to Tenorio National Park, and our experience at Rio Celeste was top-notch. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Great location, nice parc and lovely hotel. Roger was always willing to give advices and smiling just like his wife. We had access to the pool(s), inside and outside and even to the kitchen for the fridge.one of the best place to rest between 2 hard hikes.
The lodge is organised and managed by a friendly and very supportive owner. It is a very good location to visit the national park in guanacaste! Breakfast very good and home made! The Wi-Fi is very limited and not good but this was not a. Limit for us. Take into account that you have to pay in cash; euros, dollars and euros are accepted.

The location is just beautiful. They have a very nice garden. There is also a trail nearby wich should lead you to a great view. We missed that because of bad weather. The host helpt us to find other locations to drive to where we could still hike and where it was expected to be dry. We felt very welcome and would advise everyone to stay here.
beautiful settling . the ponds are full of interest and to wake up to toucans and cuckoos in the trees is a special thing . the casita is very comfortable and private. and very well appointed . spotless and the host Ana was very friendly .
