I loved the fact that we could now sleep in the same building where the English poet William Wordsworth slept during his walking tour of 1790 and associated with his famous epiphany on the imagination in Book VI of The Prelude.

For those on a budget, these cheap and cheerful hotels still have a lot to offer, with most offering WiFi and convenient locations. Popular with backpackers, many properties can be found in central locations and include comfortable rooms with private or shared bathrooms. You’ll also find a number of options which feature a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage.
Conveniently on road to Simplon Pass, interesting old fortress. Parking available underground. Very clean. Pleasant staff. Waterfall nearby was surprisingly loud but traffic overnight was minimal.
A unique location high in the gorge which leads to the Simplon Pass. It's an ancient castle which has been repurposed as a traveller's hotel. The rooms are clean and modern with all the facilities you would expect. There is a bar and restaurant. There's also a museum explaining the history of the village which includes gold mining in tunnels deep inside the mountain.
The location was an overnight stop to another destination after leaving Italy, on arrival I was met by the manager who was very friendly and helpful. The room was small and maybe a little dated, but very clean and comfortable. Evening meal was fantastic and the staff were very attentive and friendly. The location had great views of the Swiss mountains. O, the manager also had pride in telling me the cheese was from his family’s farm and personally grew the salad that came with my evening meal which was fantastic.
Friendly location at a very special place. Very good restaurant with nice selection of Italian wines. The hotel in a building from the 17th century is a special place and seminar location. It offers double rooms and dormitories.
super nice people, very clean and welcoming place. loved the terrace & balconies. dinner was great! breakfast was decent!! the hosts were so kind and helpful. slept like a baby in a clean & cozy bed!
