The location was beautiful, we loved watching the sunset over the ocean from the hot tub. The cabin was well-appointed and we were able to cook some simple meals in, with a quick trip to the market down the road. It was very clean and well provided in terms of towels, toiletries, kitchen supplies, etc... Overall, a great stay. We had a lovely holiday!

Beautiful resort and ideal location for starting/finiahing the Cabot Trail. The lady was very friendly and upgraded our room. The room itself was huge. Had everything we needed. Everything was clean. Breakfast was good. Had a bagel, cream cheese and coffee. Parking was right outside our room. The place has obviously suffered some storm damage and there are signs explaining why aome things look tired.

I am very pleased and absolutely grateful that they let us check in a couple of hours before our check-in time. This was a great deal to us since we traveled far and wanted to rest to prepare for an event later that day. We loved the value and location. Very clean and comfy place to stay! We definitely would stay again if the wind blow us back to Cape Breton!! Amazing staff!

Cabin was very nice and very clean, owner friendly and helpful. Environmentally conscious. Great location for starting Cabot Trail counter clockwise - can walk to Freshwater Lake Trail from this location for an early morning hike before you check out. Of note, there is a Keurig coffee maker but you need to bring your own pods. Not a problem for us as we only used it for hot water with our Starbuck's coffee sticks.
