For those on a budget, these cheap and cheerful hotels still have a lot to offer, with most offering WiFi and convenient locations. Popular with backpackers, many properties can be found in central locations and include comfortable rooms with private or shared bathrooms. You’ll also find a number of options which feature a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage.
The location of the place is great. The staff is accommodating. The restaurant doesn't have any local dishes on the menu, but when I asked for them, the staff were happy to prepare them for me. The breakfast was good too. They also help you to organise excursions to La Bouche du Roi. However, it's not advisable to swim on the beach as the ocean there is strong. But you can take a dip in the salty swimming pool, which is great. If you're not in the mood for swimming, you can also relax in the hammocks.
Guesthouse Bambou Beach is located directly on the beach about 10 kms from the center of Grand Popo village. My room had an ocean view, outdoor seating area and ceiling fans (no A/C). Most of the good restaurants in the area are 7-10 kilometers from the hotel, so it's not the best place to stay if you don't have a car. There is no sign on the road indicating the location of the hotel, but the Google address is accurate.
Top location!Sitting under the coconut trees with a cold beninoise ,catching the sea breezes and watching the fishermen pulling their nets gives you moments of pure bliss.
The small salt water pool is a big bonus on a hot day.
Food served on the openair verandah was delicious, though portions were average and rather pricey.
The location of the hotel is amazing . Also the restaurant that the hotel has ,serves excellent food in affordable prices. The stuff was very polite and helpfull. The village of Grand Popo is a very beautiful place and the people are very kind .
