The stay was exceptional - starting from the surroundings, panoramic views, hospitality of staff and spiritual atmosphere of the monastery, museum and apricot garden. The breakfast buffet was great - for savory and sweet eaters! Delicious croissants you cannot stop eating while enjoying panoramic views to the vineyards at the breakfast terrace. Rooms vary - some are more old-style, ascetic and some are more modern. Great kitchen and dining room for guests with self-service fridge with local monastery wines to enjoy for very reasonable price. Nice in-house souvenir and local delicacies shop. The monastery garden to enjoy and explore!

Beautiful place amongst wineyards with the scenery of baroque abbey Gottweig. It felt like a nice gentle touch of Provence by Danube. We've been served true home made breakfast, grape marmelade was excellent. We were lucky to stay during wine tasting weekend in some of the Wachau valley, then the evening with bottle of local wine in front of our rooms was charming. Great place to stay. The owner is great in hospitality, helpfulness and she recommended us other nice places to visit. Thank you.

We just had an amazing weekend experience in Malat hotel - amazing hosts and Malat family truly made us feel like home. Highlight of the stay was cosy experience in "central room" where you can enjoy glass of wine, listen to music and just chill. Having a record player is a nice touch (Miles Davis albums and other classics)... There is so much to do/see in the region: from Gottweig abbey, exploring Krems, Melk, Wachau and much more. Hosts of the hotel were super informative and helpful with travel tips, restaurant recommendation. Would definitely recommend Malat wine tour to learn about the winery, region and more. We will come back for sure!

The room is large and comfortable. The most amazing feature is its restaurant. The meal we had there is simply the best during our three-week trips around four countries. You also need to try the wine from their own vineyard. People from Vienna come here often just for a meal. Excellent!
