The room was big, light and airy with far reaching views over the town to the mountains beyond. A sensible sized fridge and TV in the room and a well appointed shower room and toilet en suite. There was ample room to sit as well as a mezzanine with twin beds if you have family as well. The breakfast was copious and very, very tasty, with homemade produce. Our hosts could not have been more welcoming. They were delightful, friendly and helpful

Perfect hosts. Perfect location. Perfect olde worlde room. Greeted by (I'm assuming) owner's parents and their grandson. Parents spoke little English but teenage grandson spoke excellent English for us. Welcomed in with glass of homemade raki. Our room was the converted loft of an old stone house near the centre of the old town. The breakfast was served on a rooftop patio right outside our door! Breakfast consisted of fried eggs, bread, olives, tomatoes, cucumber, water melon, cheese, honeydew melon, nectarine, grapes, freshly made doughnuts with fig jam, orange juice and black tea...a feast! It's not you're average shiny square hotel room. It's an experience! Trust me, it's good 😊

Good location for driving, on the main road so no scary cobbled streets to navigate. They park the car for you and carry bags up the steep stairs. It's at the bottom of the old town so a climb up but worth it. Good views over the mountains from the balcony. We had a back room so view was of road, front rooms would be amazing. It's a modern upgrade but done tastefully. Basic but some nice touches such as stone walls and local furnishings. The breakfast on the balcony was incredible. It just kept on coming! Perfect for my partners birthday, couldn't have wished for more. Staff very helpful. Very clean.

The view from our balcony was absolutely stunning. Lovely breakfast, lots of selection and the most delicious warm doughnuts!
The whole place is extremely clean and well presented. Lots of lovely fruit, veg and herbs growing. Small fridge in the room stocked with beer, wine, water and raki! Very well priced.

Location (like most places in Gjirokaster) was located at the top of a very uphill/steep walk. Super close to the bazaar and all the notable tourist spots like the castle etc. Staff were friendly and helpful with advice. Beds were very comfy and they also provided a towel which was nice. They also had lockers with a key to keep your belongings secure.

Our stay at Argjiro Castle was amazing! We were a little bit sad to leave this place, because even after one day we felt completely at home. The view is beautiful and the hostess is so kind! She got us fresh fruits from the garden and made sure our clothes were freshly washed. When we left, it was like saying goodbye to our mom and granny. Definitely recommend this place!
