We were welcomed by the very friendly manager who showed us the place and our rooms, Very charming and historical old, yet refurbished, farmhouse overlooking the village and valley. We had access to a huge kitchen with everything needed to store food and prepare meals. If you cant be bothered to make your own meals its less than 5 minutes walk down to the Skjolden Hotel which has an amazing restaurant. Would absolutely recommend Eide Gaard.

Yes it’s a winding drive up the mountain so you need a car but that is part of what makes it so spectacular. Amazing views from the home! Mountains and waterfalls! Warm and cozy with a nice wood burning fireplace. Comfortable bed. Fully furnished living room was so cozy after a long day of exploring Nicely stocked large kitchen is perfect for preparing meals …And a wonderful jetted tub! Only 2 of us so we never even used the two bedrooms upstairs but this would be a wonderful place for families or friend get together. Also has a washer so it was great to clean everything after a weeks worth of hiking! The town is close by ( about 10 min drive) so everything is convenient. Would recommend that you book this beautiful home in a heartbeat!

When we arrived, we were happy to find a lovely welcoming present, that included a bottle of champagne, chocolates, and fruits. Our hosts were incredibly nice and hospitable, and helped us with everything we needed. The apartment is in a quiet area, which was great, and easily accessible by car. We even had a parking spot of our own, just in front of the apartment. We recommend this place for anyone that is looking for some quiet and relaxing time, in a beautiful area, by the fjord. Would definitely return to this place next time we are in Bergen 😊
