The house was spic and span, our beds were comfortable and the showers had plenty of hot water! We had a quick breakfast of breads, toast, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, tea and coffee. Hillgrove House met our expectations and we would certainly return.

One of the rooms has a dog-friendly layout with a separate garden door to accommodate guests traveling with pets. The house exudes an air of relaxed sophistication, and the art collection which adorns the walls of the house is a treat and includes some real treasures. Breakfast highlights include a choice of five different honeys and a homemade sour dough bread which will linger in your memory all day. This was our first stay here, and definitely won’t be our last.

Probably best one we have rented out of 40 houses over the last 20 years in various countries. Well equipped. Hosts could not have been nicer or more helpful. The local village is fine and has everything you need. No reason to leave the house though. We were three generations staying in the house and everyone was happy (amazing!).
