There is also an express laundry service too which is brilliant for after the trek if you need to leave the next day. The guides were also super friendly and everyone was very genuine and had a good sense of humour. Absolutely rate this place.

Room was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. Nice bed. Robert was a great host and super helpful. The homestay is still relatively new, but he's been in the area for years and knows it very well. Took a one day tour with him and a few other guests. It was fantastic. Things, culture, people, and places I never would have found otherwise. Wish I could have stayed longer.

(One of) the most beautiful snorkeling spot(s) is right in front of you. - If you want to go diving, make sure to enquire about it with Borja and Yuyun as they are both divemasters.

I have stayed at a LOT of homestays and hostels over the past few months. This one surpassed them all. Immediately upon arriving I was welcomed in and served complimentary tea and sweets. The owner's son explained all the attractions. Then my host organized a sunrise hike for the morning along with transport to Lake Toba. Both were amazing and wonderful value. The complimentary breakfast was also amazing. I was only there for a night but felt completely welcomed into the family.

The homestay features family rooms. Smiley and Cecelia were so lovely, and did everything possible to ensure that we had an amazing visit to Berestagi. Cecelia cooked delicious breakfasts which we really loved. Their pets, Oreo and Ooie (cats) and Dodo (dog) were so cute and friendly! Dodo would come walking with us, and would always meet us when we returned to the homestay. Smiley and Cecelia were very knowledgeable about Berestagi and keen to help us to have the best stay we could and get the most out of this amazing area. The beds were sooo comfy, and the showers were really warm, with lots of hot water.
