The road that leads to the homestay is not as bad as some comments say, taxis arrive without problem and if you have a motorbike you will arrive at the lake in 3 minutes. He took me to visit waterfalls, rice fields and to experience cooking, to make offerings and to play Gamelan with his friend. Komang is happy to make you have a great time. The accommodation features airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available. having private jacuzzi with hot spring water was amazing. in the night it was so quiet; so i really enjoyed chilling in jacuzzi with only sound of water and watching crystal clear sky... privacy is high level, they even put locker to your yard door if you want to lock (since private jacuzzi is in front of your room, in the yard). breakfast was small but okey. nice view with fields and mountain where they serve the breakfast but there are going to be flies disturbing you. guys in the reception are so kind and polite. ps: they don’t have anything to eat on late evening, don’t forget to buy something from market in advance.

Perfect location (our room had view on the volcan), the staff is very kind and friendly and the restaurant is very good with really fair price.

Fantastic place if you want to go camping but don’t have any of the gear! This was the comfiest mattress and duvet we have had during our whole trip! The staff here are so helpful. They kindly lit our fire for us in the evening, cooked dinner, made coffee and beautiful breakfast overlooking the most stunning views of Mt Batur. Toilets were impeccably clean - so much cleaner than some indoor places we have stayed! Lovely warm shower. Highly recommend as a break from hostels and hotels - absolutely great experience!
