She reached out before we arrived to pre book a dinner location as it would have been hard to do that spontaneously given the busy times, she shared recommendations and provided additional information. She offered a great breakfast to our individual choice, all prepared with love. It was great to chat with her over tea and she would be reachable to help if needed via WhatsApp. Olive also prepared flasks for us and great rolls… we felt very spoiled. The room is nice, light, clean and is done with style and care. We really felt sorry that we had to leave Olive already. The location close enough to the harbor/city center, in short distance to the main roads is also great. The best place we have stayed so far during our trip - felt like meeting an old friend.

The host (Rod), the shared spaces (multiple sitting rooms), our room, the beds, the breakfast (Thank you, Gloria), the cleanliness... literally everything. The attention to detail amazed us. The host greeted us with a dram of whiskey and a piece of cake while he sat with us, explained the island and helped us plan our next day. We stayed in a room with two twin beds. The room was up a flight of steps, and was large and spacious. It even had its own little sitting area with two chairs. And the beds - oh, the beds were so so comfortable. They were thick and surely expensive mattresses covered in quality linen. Seriously, we would come back to the island so we could stay at the Wardicott. It was by far our favorite place on our entire 26 day trip. Also, the host offers a dinner menu for later in the day. We did not take advantage of this, but wish we would have. After experiencing the Wardicott and having the breakfast they offered, we imagine that the evening meal would have been delightful. Maybe next time....

The most obvious thing to love about this flat was that ir was in a great location esp if you're coming from the ferry port. Its near to all supply shops and places to eat and drink and to do a bit of shopping. The harbour is right near by, perfect place to sit and watch the sun go down. We stayed in Flat 1 and we were impressed how big and spacious it was. The bedrooms were quite big and the open plan lounge/kitchen was very relaxing. In the evenings we relaxed in rhe lounge and I even took advantage of the gaelic to English dictionary! Thank you to the host for leaving a bottle of lemonade, fresh loaf of bread and some biscuits. That was a nice touch! There was also milk in the fridge and the kitchen was well equipped with also tea/coffee/sugar as well as with cleaning products. The bathroom was amazing, I loved how deep the bath was and how powerful the shower was. Toilet flushed well and the sink worked well also. I loved the white tiles, made it look cleaner and bigger. The furniture was perfect. Very relaxing. The flat was very near to the bus garage which was very handy. The flat was 10 minutes walk from the castle and museum. We didn't mind the noise much. We had to open the windows as it was very hot and as there is a pub right under, its normal for there to be noise. But when the windows are shut you can't hear much.
