The area is lovely with two really nice pubs down the road. We 100% recommend and already booked again.

The owner is soooo friendly and helped me out with my European plugs problem and hundred questions :) In general everyone was very friendly, from the cleaning lady in the morning that made sure I had enough water to the waiters in the restaurants. Talking about the food my highlight was definitely the breakfasts (Avocado toast with poached egg and a porridge with fresh fruit, sooo good) I will definitely come back if I have to travel to Shepshed again.

Not only was the house and room beautiful and comfortable, but Tim and Vivi’s hospitality is outstanding. Kind and welcoming, they went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. Bed was incredibly comfortable, food filling and delicious (order the pad Thai!) and the shower was perfect. Room 3 is perfect if you want a private oasis with ensuite or if you are traveling with a child.

Each hut has its own private entrance with an elevated terrace and private patio area where views of the lakes, wildflower fields and countryside can be enjoyed. All huts have en-suite facilities with towels and linen provided. Everything. Location, bed, comfort, proximity to town for our event, cleanliness, everything worked ok and we slept like babies. We were awakened by the sound of songbirds every morning in a quiet and idillic setting. Perfect for a 2-3 night getaway.

During the day it was advisable to block out direct sun & heatwave by means of closing the curtains, at night times the room could be aired by opening doors & mansard window. Air Condition is there but wasn't required this way. The breakfast is just outstanding, everything fresh & home made, selected Mushroom Caps to host five or six Mini Cocktail Tomatoes , a lovely even artisan arrangement _ easily within my "ever top-3": A++++ 15min to Leicester City centre; ideal for Sightseeing Visitors that are Nature-Lovers
