My father is very particular and picky so we thought a little self catered apartment with a parking spot would work well. We were a little apprehensive at first due to our lack of Spanish but Osvaldo (the host) was super welcoming and Sami the guard dog was very friendly but also made us feel safe. Gorgeous grounds and pool and lots of animals to see - peacocks, dogs and cats. Perfect for a family or couple. The small kitchen was fully equipped - all the pots and pans we needed, a great corkscrew for our wine, a hob, a mini oven and big fridge freezer for all our meals! The aircon was also efficient heating and we often sat outside on our little porch watching all the animals. Was exactly what we needed! Muchas Gracias Osvaldo!

The small lodge has fantastic rooms, a nice pool and a well curated garden and ambiance that makes hanging around the lodge feel like a beach vacation! Mandy and Cristian are awesome, really responsive and kind hosts. It’s like you’re staying at their home, because you actually kind of are! It was a pleasure to chat with Mandy in the mornings at breakfast. Breakfast was exactly what I wanted, though note if you are a picky eater, this isn’t a buffet breakfast.

The owner was very helpful and friendly, letting us check in early and giving us helpful tips about what to do in the area. The cabin is well equipped and the rooms very comfortable and warm. The common spaces inside and outside were great for relaxing. Overall, this was an exceptional experience for us and in fact, our friends can' wait to go back for longer. If you like animals, there are turkeys, ducks, cats, goats and dogs around and they are very friendly and used to humans.

Located in the heart of the Colchagua Valley, Hostal del Valle can be found in Santa Cruz, just 200 metres from the city's Plaza de Armas. Guests will find vineyards and restaurants just metres away from this guesthouse. Friendly and helpful for whatever. I get so much help to arrange trips. Very patient with my limited Spanish skills, helpful with excellent recommendations and making reservations for restaurants and wineries. The room was comfortable and clean, the garden shaded and relaxing, and the breakfast plentiful and delicious. The location is also great, just 3 blocks from the town square. I would definitely return!!
