I have spent a wonderful few days at Forest Side Homestay. The peaceful location is perfect for accessing the park - the ferry is just around the corner. I was made to feel like one of the family. I am sad to be leaving. The host speaks good English and has a great sense of humour. He took me on a dawn boat trip on the river, which was very special. The comical family dogs are a joy too. Be prepared to share your room with some of the local wildlife but the mosquito net allows you to sleep comfortably. It's a homestay, not a hotel, so don't expect luxury but expect warmth and kindness and memorable opportunities to see special wildlife.
Paradise on the Tree is situated in Cat Tien and offers a terrace. There is an in-house restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available.

Nice clean room with comfortable beds and a balcony overlooking the river. Friendly and helpful staff. They helped us with booking a boat trip on the river and night safari in the park across the river. Decent food at the restaurant.

Amazing hospitality, excellent food and a great location. Mr. Co brought us everywhere, arranged excursions and assisted with booking bus tickets. Although excursions cost slightly more than when booking it yourself, the service was absolutely worth it. We did a boat tour, the singing gibbon trek and went to the primate rescue center. Besides that, we also hiked and cycled in the national park ourselves.

The founder and the volunteers working for this environment-friendly school project were amazing. Kind hearted and extremely friendly, they even brought us to the near Cat Tien national park.
They have cooked for us delicious dinner and breakfast.
We learned about local Vietnamese culture and were fully immersed in the nature.
I love the hospitality of the staff. They were very helpful from the start until the end of the trip. The staff could give you recommendations of activities in the village and would help you to get around. The best thing was they were not overcharging tourists unlike in other places we'd been to in VN where we get charged extra for being tourists. The service of this lodge shows the hospitality of the Cat Tien people.
Mango smoothies are amazing. Fabolous tours all around. All staff, particularly Luan and Tam were outstanding and made our trip in Vietnam even better. Couldn't have asked for anything better. Favourite tours, waterfalls (ride bikes theough little villages is the best mode of transport), Crockodile lake trek. Late boat tour.
Our stay at Green Hope Lodge was perfect. The property is across the river from the Cat Tien park, so you can lay down in a hammock and listen to the sounds of forest animals. There's no noise from traffic or industry, though when you wish you can take a walk to the village to experience it's hustle and bustle. The park entrance is just a short walk away. Mr. Luan is the most helpful, caring host with a good sense of humor. Would visit Cat Tien again just to stay at GHL. :)
The location of Green Hope Lodge is incredible with chairs and hammocks to sit right by the river. Very easy access to Cat Tien National Park and the hotel has a brilliant range of tours which can be booked. We got the local bus from Ho Chi Minh City following the instructions provided and would highly recommend this route as it dropped us off right in the village. This was a great place to stay.
