Wish I stayed longer! The hotel itself is beautiful, the room is exquisite, the breakfast is an absolute treat, and the service (especially Linda!). The guide recommended to me by the hotel, Mahdi, was also amazing and I appreciated getting to visit el Jem and the “real” Kairouran during my stay. I can’t recommend this Dar enough; it’s in the heart of the Medina and close to the sights of Sousse yet still relaxing and peaceful.

Breakfast, laundry and driver services are also all available. But best of all, you get to experience Toutou’s amazing hospitality: from cookies with your name baked into them on arrival, to the best local recommendations for all places nearby like El Jem, Kairouan, and Monastir, Toutou really makes you feel at home. The property is also located in a quiet residential area, away from the tourist traps. I would absolutely recommend staying at Dar Hkaïem.

We had a simple short stay in Sousse and felt well taken care of by Samir (who lives on the same floor). The host was communicative and reachable via texts/phone. The location is perfect, a stone throw away from the long sandy beach and a short 10 minute walk to the medina and train station. Very convenient location for day trips and plenty of options for food/cafe. All requests were promptly taken care of and we appreciated the great hospitality.
