It was a lovely little place, the owners couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. We loved being able to use the bikes to go for a sunset bike ride and then into the local village. The free breakfast was just what we needed before catching the slow boat to Laos. The owner also arranged for us to get the slow boat ticket from his friend at the pier and it made the whole process very straight forward and also helped with any questions we had about the visa form (which he gave us on arrival).

We were collected from Lotus supermarket and taken to property by host who spoke good English. We borrowed bikes and cycled to the next village for a bit of exercise and enjoyed a nice meal that evening next door. In the morning the host cooked toast and eggs and we were delivered to the border.

Pass-through village to go to Laos, nevertheless a fantastic stay at this hotel, perfectly located at the Mekong with a stair to the walking street. Very nice breakfast with enough options.

A wonderful waterfront inn, wonderful charming, helpful owner. Great location in a charming small village which felt very friendly and manageable. If I were going to live in Thailand, I just might choose to live in Chaing Khong.

We loved our stay. the bungalows are great and everything worked well. The location was great in a village and next to border cross to Laos. The host were fantastic and looked after us well. They took us to the border and arranged our visa, transport and ticket for the slow boat boat. It was a fantastic service as we were guided through quickly and on to the slow boat. The food in the restaurant was excellent.
