One of the best hotels I've been to! I stayed there for 2 nights with my wife.
1. The staffes are very kind.
2. The pool is great—when I visited, no one else was using it, so we enjoyed it like a private pool.
3. The location is very quiet and calm; it's a bit far from the main attractions, so you can enjoy a peaceful vacation.
4. They have a pick-up service, and there's a big mall nearby, so you can ask them to pick you up from there and take you to the hotel. Even on foot, it only takes 5 minutes to get to the mall.
5. The room is very clean and spacious, and the view from the balcony is amazing.

The location under the BTS station was amazing. The room was well sized and very comfortable for 3 adults and had lots of space. The breakfast was simple but tasty and it was great that water was available. The staff were also super friendly and it was extremely clean!

Focal Local is a treasure, and I can see now why it has such excellent reviews. We had a lovely time staying there. The staff are some of the nicest people you could ever meet, and so incredibly helpful and resourceful! Anything you could possibly need or wonder about, they are quick to offer answers, help with, make arrangements, etc. We were able to get laundry done, utilize their complementary tuktuk, receive support with a 4 am taxi arrangement, help with locating a western union nearby when google wasn't helpful, leave our luggage their while we went to Chiang Mai, and more amazing help. The breakfast was always yummy and the location was great if you're interested in staying within a local community and not in fully touristy areas. Also, it's not far from the taxi ferries that easily get you to all of the locations in Bangkok that are on the other side of the river (I was curious about this before coming, and was pleased with how easy it was to get to places). Grab pickup and dropoff was also very easy. The area was great to walk around in as well, and there are so many places to eat within walking distance. And the rooms were very nicely decorated, clean, and comfortable; the beds were amazing. Many thanks to Mai and Karan (and the two other staff members whose names I didn't get); such sweet people and always with a smile and great energy. I will certainly stay here again! I have nothing but great things to say about this place and highly recommend it for anyone interested in a quaint place to stay with a homey vibe.

Great location - just off Si Lom Rd opposite Patpong Market. Walking distance to Lumpini Park, BTS and metro stations.
We didn’t use the pool but it is available til 8pm. Host was beyond helpful and kind. Nice to have your own mini kitchen. We were able to leave bags the day we checked out til the afternoon.
