Beautiful location in the village of Slap surrounded by vineyards. Staff were excellent and extremely warm and welcoming. We had a wine tasting accompanied by a lovely charcuterie board which was really good.

Very convenient to have a nice, modern, spacious place to stay for the night after doing the wine tasting on site (just a few flights down in the wine cellar). What a relief to finish the tasting and just have to walk up a few flights of stairs into bed :)

- Would recommend for an affordable stay in Vipava if you want to do a wine tasting and not have to worry about getting back to your accomodations afterwards!

Vipava is a charming little town to stay in while exploring the area’s wineries, farms, caves, etc. There are several restaurants in town and we walked to the square each morning for pastries and coffee at Bar pri Marjanci.
Two couples were traveling together and we rented both rooms. The rooms are very clean and super-well designed. Robi went out of his way to ensure we could easily drop off luggage and park nearby, and he also gave us great recommendations for location wineries. I highly recommend.

Clean, good beds, good airconditioning in the bedrooms. Free welcome wine, check-in was easy. There was one hob to cook on which was a bonus & worked well. Outside eating area. Nearby pizzeria Anja was great (10 mins walk).

The owner of the house was very helpful and nice. The house is very well equipped and spacious. It was also very clean and well kept. Indeed a lovely house in Vipava, perfect for those who are interested in exploring Vipava wineries, some of which are in walking distance. We did that and it was a wonderful experience overall.

We stayed two nights and everything was perfect! The village is very well positioned and we could get around easily in the region, free parking was available very close to the hotel. The room was clean and nice and we were warmly welcomed at check in and pampered throughout our stay. We also tried the wine tasting, which was very generous and worth the price!
We had an excellent stay at Samson and the Lilo. We enjoyed the fruit bowl, snacks and wine left for us (this was an unexpected and lovely surprise). We really felt like we had an authentic experience staying in a small countryside village with so much history and character and appreciated the kindness and help extended to us by Guy and Polona. We highly recommend this property as well as hiking to the top of the hill to see the chapel and phenomenal views of Vipava!

Beautiful accommodation. Ideal for relaxing away from the noisy crowd. The room also has a small kitchen where you can prepare a small meal. The hosts also prepared a small snack (also for our dog) for us upon arrival so that we wouldn't be hungry, as there is no grocery shop in the village. Overall, a very hospitable host, always ready to help if you have any questions. We felt very comfortable.
The property is in a beautiful location of Slovenian countryside. The owners were really friendly too. They also did a very tasty breakfast at an extra price. We also bought some bottles of wine after having tasted the samples from their distillery. The nearby village was very lovely and quiet to walk around in.
The place had its own atmosphere, the garden was magical and very romantic. The rooms were clean and nicely furnished. The location is a small village, pleasant for a walk. But there are only a few wineries. Nothing else.
