Pensiunea Casa Godja was one of my favourite locations to stay at in all of Romania. From the moment I got there, even though it was long before check-in time, I was immediately made to feel like my needs were a priority. I was given what can only be described as a perfect breakfast, was given more food and drink (the strongest liquor I've ever had in my life) at dinner. The daughter of the household Denisa is genuinely one of the nicest people I have ever met, while her father even drove me and another tourist up the nearby hill to see a local point of interest. My room was fantastic; while the actual house was full, I was given a very spacious accommodation in the house across the road (which is owned by the same family) where I had complete comfort and privacy. I can totally recommend this location to anyone staying in the Barsana / Valeni area!

It is a typical Romanian holiday place, a room with a bathroom and a sala. The room was very nicely decorated, in a typical wooden house at the cul-de-sac. The property has a nice green garden, outside seats, it is quiet and the owners are very friendly. Both the room and bathroom are well arranged and very comfortable. The water is hot, the room is very clean, there's a small table inside and a fridge in the corridor. The sala is spacious, there are dishes and flatware (not 100% sure if guests are allowed to borrow them directly, sorry if we shouldn't have 😅), coffee machine, kettle, and tea. The town itself is really nice and the people are super friendly even for Romanian high standards. The church in the village is one of the nicest we have seen and the keeper is very happy to tell You all the history of the place. It has effective heating and I think it could be great to visit in winter with snow. Very much recommended.
