Beautiful, spacious, well designed and stylish apartment in a century old villa in a lovely village. Perfect place to visit the western part of the island, and we also used it as our base to actually visit the whole island. Monique was really responsive and helpful in arranging any needs arose, from laundry to renting the car of the villa. The guide book Monique prepared for the visitors is an excellent piece of art, giving hints and suggestions for how to use the apartment, what to do in the nearby area, and the must-to-visit places on the whole island! Thank you, Monique, for all! You made our stay unforgettable!

What a sweet little cabin! We only stayed there one night but wished we could have stayed longer. It was in a great location near the Miradouro Escalvado for the most beautiful sunset. The cabin was clean and well cared for. We especially loved the warm dip in the hot tub in the evening. The communication with the owner was excellent.

What a lovely stay and a great location. Convenient to Sete Cidades & Mosteiros. Only 35 minutes to the airport. We only spent one night in Nomad Nest but wished we could have stayed more. The owner was so gracious. Breakfast (extra) in the Grand House was absolutely delicious!! Entry & kitchen were on the first floor. Bedroom & bathroom were upstairs. Bed was incredibly comfy. We loved the special touches and the history of the property. The owner had lots of helpful info in the kitchen… restaurant, hike, tour… suggestions. WiFi worked great. There was a desk in the bedroom.

I had the pleasure of staying in the Country Suite of beautiful Villa Várzea for 6 nights, and I cannot recommend it enough. The Villa is comprised of two hundred-year-old buildings with a great history, as they were once owned by one of the first doctors on the island. I loved how the design of the spacious interiors still reflects such history, yet without compromising on modern needs. Together with the very quiet and peaceful location of the small village of Várzea, this combination allows for a very relaxing experience that is hard to find elsewhere. All this I could have mostly guessed by reading the description of the house online. What I could not have guessed is that the house is run by lovely locals, some of whom I had the pleasure of meeting and becoming friends with, such as the sweetest receptionist Catarina, Rita, Filomena and the owner Monique, who happens to be the great-granddaughter of the aforementioned physician. In the room, there is also a booklet full of suggested locations to visit, with some interesting descriptions of the history of Villa Várzea and its village. On my last day, I also tried the optional breakfast, which was delicious and included local food.

Location to ponta de Ferraria ocean thermal pool great. However no one told us about the even more awesome swimming pool volcanic heated water mixed with ocean water . Best thermal pool for comfort during our 3 week trip. Pool is not beautiful but a person must try the 98 to 100 degree waters . And only 5.00€ for all day . Coffee and sandwiches are available inside the check in building. Also an underground hot pool. That pool had very little ventilation and was dark . We passed on using it .

200% recommended!!! It is a truly special house, not only because of the natural environment and the spectacular views facing the sea, but also because of the peace and wonderful energy it transmits. The location is perfect to get to know this part of the island and very close to Sete Ciudades. Alex and Cyr are also amazing, super good vibes, they recommended a lot of places and were really hospitable. They are undoubtedly beings of light. This house is an idyllic place to connect with nature, with life and with oneself. We hope to return soon!
