One of the best properties we have stayed in. The house was modern and well equipped, with plenty of space for our group of 6. The kitchen had all the equipment we needed for our needs. The view from the house was gorgeous, overlooking vineyards. We were able to enjoy delicious oranges and lemons from trees in the yard - what a treat!. The village was charming and non-touristy. We didn't see any other tourists during our stay. The location is super convenient, just 10 minute's drive from Pinhao. One of the best things of a great stay was the host, Paula. She runs the village cafe and was delightful. We even arranged for her to prepare meal for our group, which was delicious. We only wish we could have stayed longer - 3 nites was not enough.

Located in the heart of the Upper Douro wine-making region, Casa de Mendiz is a rustic-style mansion dating back to 1780 which offers an outdoor pool and free WiFi.

The main living/dining area is the heart of the house, with plenty of comfy seating and a lovely view. The hostess was wonderful, taking good care of us with a cooked breakfast, tasty coffee and laundry service.
Pinhão (Near Vale de Mendiz)
The air-conditioned holiday home is composed of 2 separate bedrooms, a living room, a fully equipped kitchen, and 2 bathrooms. A flat-screen TV is provided.
Guests at the holiday home can enjoy fishing and hiking nearby, or make the most of the garden.
Portugal
The house was clean and very comfortable. Two big rooms each with their own private bathroom. The kitchen is big and well equipped. Carla was very friendly en responsive and always helped with our requests and questions. The outside terrace is very large, with barbecue equipment, plenty of seating and a small pool, and of course a beautiful view over the valley. The little town is very charming and a short downhill walk or drive. Pinhão is less than 10 minutes away, which makes it the perfect spot to see and experience the best of the Douro. We will stay here again on our next visit to the Douro Valley.
Casal de Loivos (Near Vale de Mendiz)
Featuring an outdoor swimming pool, Casa da Seara is located just 3.9 km from the shore of the Douro River and the centre of Pinhão. The surrounding area features various vineyards and boat tours crossing the Douro are available in Pinhão.
Bulgaria
Casa de Seara is a beautiful property atop a hill near by a small and cozy village. It is surrounded by vineyards and views. What more could you ask for? We were met by Monica, who was very helpful with detailed instructions about our stay, with booking a tour on Douro River and advice which wineries to visit and most importantly - where to have dinner.
Provesende (Near Vale de Mendiz)

The lodging is an entire house adjacent to the winery with outstanding view over the Douro valley. The owners were super friendly and made us feel welcome. Anna provided a tasting for us, allowed us to walk through the property and sample grapes off the vines. A 15 minute walk through the vineyard took us to Provesende, a beautiful village nearby. We were there during harvest time so, the owners’ son who is also the winemaker, allowed us to watch him stomping the grapes by foot which was an incredible experience. He also patiently explained his process to reach the best quality wine. Make sure to get up early and watch the sunrise over the valley, it’s quite special.

The house is absolutely beautiful with the most Amazing view over the Douro River. It is an extremely well renovated house, charming and noble at the same Time. Micaela is the best Host you could think of and the pool area is a dream, you swim while overlooking the river, the vinyeards and Pinhao. The perfect stay when you look for beauty.
