Gorgeous little house in the woods with inviting outdoor seating and a hammock. Marisa is an exceptionally good host and provides everything you might need and more There are lots of options for river swimming, some only 3 Kms away. We were pleased to have the option of a BBQ. It's in a very scenic,remote and quiet location and good for relaxing - we actually found the church bells from 8 am to 9 at night quite useful, no alarm needed.

It was such a pleasure to spend the weekend in a place so special. The view is quite unique. Surrounded by nature, mountains all around. It really exceeded our best expectation. The rustic decoration matches perfectly the nowadays amenities. Dona Anabela makes the reception even more warm and special by introducing the history of the house. It is a home with a proper soul!

We stayed in the family room, which has two levels, so our son had a little privacy. The place is air-conditioned and cleaned regularly. The beds are very comfortable, and there are also desks and space to hang clothes. The staff of Fonte d'Amandos is charming and always helpful. Every morning you can have breakfast at the bakery, which serves a good variety of rolls and cakes, both sweet and savoury. Many local people come for a coffee, and to buy bread there. There is parking nearby. We have stayed there before, and we will certainly come back.

Everything was dreamlike; the way up there is through amazing view, the house itself is soooo beautiful and everything is designed with excellent taste and great care to every little detail and concideration for the welfare of the guests. The view from the windows is unbearable, Brent and his mother are exceptionally unique and interesting people.
