I liked the fact that I had the pool of for myself since there was nobody else using it. However, this is really only suitable for those who speak fluent Portuguese for the reason highlighted below. Also do not place any garbage in the room of any kind because you will be invaded by ants.

I thoroughly enjoyed my long stay at Alegria Rustica, Anna and Mark were such lovely hosts and really made me feel welcome and ensured I was always happy and comfortable during my stay. The breakfasts were great and filling, lots of organic items like fruit and eggs included from their own garden as well. A great place to visit for some peace and quiet outside the major cities where you can really enjoy the great summer weather and explore the beautiful nature that can be found in central Portugal. There are some great hikes in the area.
