The views from the Quinta are amazing, looking across the river to the hilltop town. The rooms are clean with comfy beds. The air conditioning was a real bonus. Breakfasts are extra, but well worth the money with yoghurt, cereal, melon, warm bread, toast, York ham, cheese, jamon, home basked cake and fresh juice.

The Location was wonderful, you were welcomed as one of the family,, the breakfast was great, with home made bread, cake, jams, local lavender honey and freshly squeezed oranges. The room was a great size, comfy beds with good bathroom facilities. Access to water, coffee, tea and home made cookies was 24/7 and to cap it off the night sky was sparkling. So all just all really. And there are some good restaurants in the village.
Set in São Marcos da Ataboeira, 35 km from Beja, Abetarda CC - good place between Lisbon and Algarve, in the middle of the countryside - features air-conditioned rooms and free private parking.

Everything was clean and the sheets and towels smelt divine. Very comfortable and gorgeous breakfast which the host talked us through. Lovely for couples as in quiet location ideal for relaxing.

Lovely to be on balcony over looking river , Spa close by so we bought wine and chips enjoyed the sunset and castle view from our balcony before dinner .
