Our family loved staying at the Quinta Vale de Carvalho. The house was as comfortable and spacious as can be, set in a tranquil and stunningly gorgeous location. The breakfasts are amazing, the pool impeccable, and Pedro is a delightful and attentive host. If one wants to wander, charming villages and towns are to be found nearby, and it is driving distance to the Parque Arqueológico do Vale do Côa and the Parque Natural do Douro Internacional.

Mario, the host is super kind, caring and accomodating. The view is breathtaking and it is a very tranquil place. Great home made meals by Mario with local products and great wine. The apartment is in a great location and the swimming pool and the pool area are excellent place to cool down and chill. The village is small and the road is windy to get there but for us that was part of the charm
