This is a beautifully updated Portuguese Farmhouse. The wood work and rustic decor inside the house took our breath away. For an older property, it’s very clean and comfortable. There were also many shared spaces inside and outside the property - The living room, game room, dining room, etc. We also liked that there were several fireplaces throughout the property to keep it warm, along with a heater in the room for our usage. We stayed at one end of the house, which had a door that separated our room and restroom as a separate wing which was great and gave us all the privacy we needed. The housekeeper was very sweet. Wi-Fi works. At night, we were able to look up and stargaze as well. This was also where my partner asked me to marry him so will forever remain a very special memory to us. We hope to visit again in the future.

Casa Passal was a perfect place for our reunion of 5 families of friends. The rooms are like 5-star hotel rooms, all of them have ensuite bathrooms and of very good quality. Host Ricardo was very thoughtful and helpful, the best concierge who organised our wine tour, and transport when we needed them. Liliana was always around when we needed anything and took care of all details. We all had such wonderful time and getting together after 8-10 years not seeing one another for some of us. We were there for a week and the children, big or small never ran out of ideas of games due to such big premise, swimming pool, a volleyball/basketball court, table tennis, they even played sardines hiding in brushes. And there are so many different places we could sit around to catch up and have a good old conversation. We were already talking about going back on the 3rd day of staying. Thank you Ricardo to make your villa such a lovely place to be.

Countryside Villa is a private house with an outdoor pool and indoor Jacuzzi with a view to the garden. High-speed Wi-fi is available through the entire house. Free parking is available inside the property. In one of the interior gardens there is a gas barbecue to complete the kitchen that has a Nespresso coffee machine and dishwasher. Lovely rambling villa. Plenty of room for everyone. Pool and table tennis were great for the kids. Very welcome cake, jams and teas when we arrived. Carolina was most helpful. We would love to stay again. The location grew on us as we explored more. Close to Cete station - easy to get to Porto, Amarante, Duoro on the train.
