Everything! This was one of our favourite places on a months trip in the region. The communication with hosts was great from the moment we booked. The drive from Pinhao up through the vineyards to the village was delightful and the welcome gift of homemade almonds tarts and some of the hosts own port was very welcome and delicious!! The apartment itself was spotless and very well equipped for any length of stay. As we had a two year old with us we dined at the apartment every evening and the kitchen was better equipped than our own!! Lovely balcony with views of the valley and to listen to the sounds of peaceful village life. Our hosts welcomed us to their own home to use their wonderful pool and terrace. They provided lots of toys for our toddler who took a real shine to the place. A tour of the vineyard was such a treat also. Hrougjly recommend this place. No shops in the village so the hosts tell you to come prepared so come stocked up to enjoy a wonderful stay!

A beautiful small hotel with three apartments. We had the pleasure of spending the night in the largest one. The views are wonderful. Very large windows. Everything in the apartment fits together and creates a fantastic atmosphere. The lounge room and restaurant are also beautiful. Staff at the highest level.

Staying at Dois Lagares was absolutely fantastic. The host João and his family were incredibly sweet and made sure we had a wonderful stay, even when we broke their bathroom mirror. A complementary bottle of sweet wine was given to us when we left and the mountain bikes we rented were of very high quality. Definitely recommend to stay here when you're in Pinhão!

The property was amazing! Perfect for a large number of us and we enjoyed the house that was clean, well-equipped with amazing facilities of gym and the pool! And the location with breathtaking views and surrounding hills were beautiful and priceless. Ana, the host was really friendly, hospitable and answered to queries promptly. Francisco met us on arrival. Communication was excellent. It was important to meet him to show us how everything in the house works, especially the heat during the chilly winter.

Fantastic guest house just off the main street in Pinhao. Our host, Pedro, was extremely helpful, messaging us a few days before we arrived with details of the room, how to get there, local attractions etc. He was also available in his Family-run café just down the road and took our luggage on the day of departure while we waited for the train back to Porto.

At Casa de Pena d'Águia, located in the heart of the Douro wine region, in the middle of the village, but in the midst of nature, we are enraptured by the perfection of the natural setting, with the surrounding mountains as far as the eye can see, the scenic terraced vineyards, punctuated of olive groves, and the Douro River in the background.

Everyone with whom we had contact was very friendly and helpful. The generous breakfasts were very good. The house is spacious, rooms were comfortable, and we had everything we needed. It's a steep walk down to the river where all the facilities are, so we were glad we had a car.
