Absolutely everything! No words can describe our experience. Our room (# 15) was a two individual beds on the 2nd floor, with the view over the inner garden, swimming pool and marvelous landscape to the sea (Desertas island can be seen from the top of the main gate - to the left side). The balcony is shared with two other rooms, with hand-made table and chairs of wicker and wood. Drying rack can be provided. Clean and quiet, we were had with blankets and heating system for cooler summer nights. TV is also included (but honestly we only noticed in our last night!) A common salon for breakfast, relaxing and talking with other guests is a nice place to rest your feet after some levadas and veredas. All place is inspired with the sympathy of Mister António, who welcomed us since day 1 and along our journey, suggesting us places to visit and advising whenever the weather changed and risky places were not advised to visit for safety reasons. We would definitely recommend you to stay here. Specially, who's looking for a retreat in a local village, near to the church and a famous pastery with local and delicious local treasures open all week! As Mister António suggest, to reach this spot from the airport, follow the directions Gaula/Porto Novo (route from the coastline and way up the hill) and avoid Gaula/São Pedro (route from the coastline and way down the hill) due to few narrow and steepy streets where only one car cross.

The apartment has a modern feel with all of the details very well thought throughout of the appointment such as lights, layout and how space is used, the build-in cubostd. Its relatibely small space but feels quite spacious due to the way it's designed. Great bathroom and well done kitchen. It's very well equipped with all possible staff that you need in kitchen, bathroom (including very well staffed first aid kit) and even though it has 3 big windows that face the bed, the curtains are so thing that you can get the nice dark room for night . Also, the air-conditioning is over the bed and blowing air in such way that it dies not blow straight onto one spot, or you when laying in bed. Fot that matter, to the apparent gets great cooling and it's easy to relax during the day despite the 3 big windows and sleep at night.
The location is just in the middle of central Funchal in a building looking over a small square with 5 minutes walk to the cost, the old market and the old town - all a must see where in Funchal. The great thing is that the square goes quiet in evening so there is no disturbance to sleep.
Also, when buying trips or attraction in Funchal, the pick up is easy and almost always few minutes away due to the location. Also, all you might possibly need is around: market ,(highly recommend to use Continente supermarket l, don't use smaller stores like "Amanhecer" as they are soooo overrpriced), local restaurants, local cafes fir your morning coffee, pharmacy and like everywhere else all the tourist ships you can think off.
Lastly, the staff ( a lovely man and a woman whose names we had not catch and it wpuld be great to memtion tbete here) ) were so helpful, kind and responsive that it made out stay move to the execeeemt level. We will definitely be coming back to Madeira and to that particular location!

Location was perfect for me, only a short walk to the nearby bars and restaurants and only 10-15 mins down to the very heart of Funchal. Host, Sergio, was very helpful when any issues arose, which they did, but only through my own doings!

Our experience was quite strongly affected by the fact that we got a little upgrade for our stay, because we asked about using their washing machine and because we think that the more luxury apartments weren't so busy. As a result we also got to park in their car park and use the rooftop terrace with a little pool. Thanks!
The flats are located quite close to the oceanfront, and close to the old town. The central town is about 15 minutes walk away, so also close. And because all those are sort of level with the flat, you never needed to go much up or downhill, which was great.
The flat had all the basics you need, the kitchen had the basic cookware, there was also salt, towels, sponge and washing up liquid. There was a clothes drying rack and an ironing board.
There was a cleaning service part way through the stay, which was nice.

Stunning views in a quiet, local neighborhood. Villa Maria is large, comfortable, and has everything that you need to make your stay memorable. The banana trees and the vines add charm to the place. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets with an ocean view are just priceless
There are not too many villas, so that it is not too crowded and touristic. The venue itself is beautiful and offer a great view on the ocean. The pool is nice, though the water very cold. There is a possibility to do your own laundry.
Peaceful place in a little village, with a nice pool. The room was cosy with a big bathroom. The owner is a very nice person. Good location to quickly reach Pico Arieiro. Has a parking space and common kitchen to use.
Everything is new. Houses are neatly designed nicely mimicking old village. I could not ask for more in terms of design and comfort.

Property is very modern villa with a beautiful terrace & jacuzzi is cherry on top. Both owners are awesome & we made new friends with them! Cheered everyday with fresh bread and veggies, fruits from garden & eggs from the chicken.

The building is beautiful with a nice garden and swimming pool and a common living room with a historic vibe :) It's located in a nice village with a bakery, small store with everything you need, a restaurant and a bar. The room was very clean and smelled great! We slept very well :)
Very good value for money,place was clean,shower room was very spacious and worked well,very good location,not far from the airport.We had some chairs next to our room for morning coffee.Kitchen open all night,so if you leave early,you can make yourself breakfast.Little village has couple of bars and a local shop,everything is close by.Fantastic place to stay if you visiting Madeira.Only 20min drive to Funchal with the car.
Great villa, we stayed here for a week. It was modern and clean - much better than the pictures. Exceptional views. Each bedroom is spacious and has it’s own bathroom which was a plus. The host was friendly and contact was fine, responses were quick. Fully equipped. Near the airport and Santa Cruz was lovely and easily accessible.
