Amazing hotel like foyer with lift. location very central next to the cathedral, parking easy in the bus station next to the school behind the property. We were made so welcome by Manuel as soon as we arrived. It’s a beautiful, traditional family home The breakfast was delicious and the service very friendly. The attention to detail was exceptional, the gardens are beautiful, we loved the honesty bar by the pool and the welcome drink. The location was ideal for exploring the stunning Douro valley.

Huge and fantastic house in the center of the city. The house is just amazing, with 4 big and confortable rooms, a huge living room and meals room, a small tv room and a big kitchen. The 2 bathroons are very very good. The views are very nice, the house is quiet and very near the center of the city. Keep in mind that the house is in the higher part of town, so when returning from the river side you will need to walk uphill... but it is not that much and it is well worth it. Its a fantastic house.

The place is absolutely wonderful and I wish we had stayed longer than just one night to enjoy better que quietness in the pool. We had a small wine tasting and we were very well received for the amazing staff, all very kind. The views are to die for, the wine is delicious and it was the best breakfast in our whole trip by far. They totally got my heart.

This is the most beautiful property. The staff are wonderful. The owners are warmhearted people passionate and knowledgeable about the Douro Valley and the region’s wines and port. The swimming pool was delightful, the accommodation is luxurious, the food was very good too.

What a wonderful stay! The host was very helpful, the accomodation was amazing with everything that we needed in this gorgeous stone building. Parking was on the street in front of the cottage. The village has been one of the friendliest place we have ever stayed in our travels.
The accomodation is a historic house that went through a nice renovation that's located in a calm village in the hills over a Douro river. The hosts are the loveliest and friendliest people we've met on our travels. They will gladly show you around, help you solve any problem that might come up, in short, they will make you feel welcome and part of the community. We came with no particular expectations, yet we found it very hard to leave.
