The staff was very lovely and welcoming. A drink was offered on arrival which we had on the very cute patio. Breakfast was excellent and started with OJ, Portuguese buns and scrambled eggs, then there was a good size buffet that included yogurt, granola, cereal, fruit, tea and coffee and a selection of sweets like cake and flan. The room was well appointed and comfortable.

The hotel is so magnificent I took the time to visit every floor and take pics - it is like visiting a historic place. If I had more time would have loved to spend an entire day just chilling in it, enjoying all it had to offer. Breakfast is delicious with the bonus of live music which makes you feel very classy... They always have spice tea brewing and ready to serve, and the hotel has a wonderful smeel eminating from it. They also have fruits available at all times. Afternoon (from 3 pm to 9 pm I am told) they serve wine in their cellar accompanied by cheese and crackers (for free). Can just have your very own wine -testing there and then (as they offer 3-4 different wines and you can refill as much as you want). The spa is free and very relaxing. I am glad I decided to participate in their Fado Night and had dinner there, the food was delicious and music was wonderful and appreciated all the information they gave on Fado in between the songs. Was one of the highlights of my entire trip.

The breakfast provided exceeded my expectation, the range of choice was amazing and if it wasn't there the friendly staff were more than happy to oblige with any request. The area was also made available during the day for coffee, water and snacks, this was highly appreciative.
