We were lucky enough to be the first guests staying at this beautiful place for a week! The place is tastefully decorated in a lovely village with friendly villagers. The bed is comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped to prepare meals, and the bathroom is the highlight, we truly enjoyed our showers under the sunlight with palm tree! The pool area is very beautiful as well. Ruben & his wife are the friendliest and most accommodating hosts ever, we encountered the hottest week in Portugal in history (43c!) while we were staying there, Ruben & his wife have prepared us a fan so the heat was still manageable. Our requests and questions were always promptly addressed and replied, we can feel that they're truly passionate about what they do and go extra miles to make sure their guests fully enjoy their stays. Thanks again for this great experience!

We had such a wonderful time at Casa Susana. On arrival we were met by our lovely host who warmly showed us around, and what a beautiful property it is. We thoroughly enjoyed our delicious Portuguese custard tarts and wine that had been left for us. The property is located on the outskirts of small village with stunning views from all the windows and many sitting areas and pool. All the members of our family loved this wonderful home and would highly recommend a stay here. It is only a short drive to all the sites and local amenities. Thanks for a fantastic stay.

Over two years I must have booked this property at least 4 times, but each time Covid struck ot TAP cancelled my flights! When I did fly TAP my departure was 5 hours late and I arrived late and in the dark! But it did not phase my hosts and I received a lovely welcome! Thank you! My room was full of goodies, but I can't promise you will find the same! Exceptional coffee, chocolates, biscuits, milk, a miniature Quintal do Freixo liqueur, orange juice etc Breakfast is no longer available, but the goodies made up for it. I must mention the coffee machine and pouches...they are fabulous and lots of them. So smooth and tasty...thank you for not buying rubbish as some do!! The room was delightful and everything was spotlessly clean with all sorts of items giving it a personal touch! Very convenient by rail station and shops a few yards away. The property is located in a traditional unspoilt, non-touristy village and had an amazing illuminated church when I stayed for Christmas.
