I highly recommend this cosy little comfortable home in a peaceful village. It was very clean and well decorated & equipped with everything we needed for self catering. The shower had great pressure and the air conditioning and outdoor private pool were very much appreciated during the hot weather. We met Jorge, the owner, and he was friendly and very helpful.

it was quiet relaxing lovely room and our host Edgar was excellent he wanted us to feel that his home was our home even freshly baked cake every afternoon so helpful with restaurants! we left our car there and caught an Uber to the University and back for a few euro perfect !!
It was a great house with a number of rooms for rent - that shared the kitchen and livingroom. I always enjoy this arrangement. My own room was large, had a great huge window to the backyard. I chose this location as it was outside of Copimbra between small villages and very close to a great birding spot I wanted to check out. The kitchen had great supplies, and snacks. The bed was property comfortable. aria met me and showed me around. She was lovely. There were some great restaurants around as well. All in all a great one night stay.
The night at Refúgio das Buracas was the most magical night of our trip. A beautiful stone village with its sounds in the evening, a romantic evening under the starry sky on the small terrace of the house with a glass of exceptional wine. The most memorable experience on our journey through Portugal. We are sorry we didn't have time to stay longer.
This is a beautifully restored property in a quaint little village, surrounded by stunning countryside. If you are walking the camino, I would suggest getting a taxi from and back to the camino trail. Definitely worth the diversion!
Amazing location in a cute village with a proper authentic Portuguese character. The owner has done an amazing job in converting this traditional stone house. The kids loved the fireplace. Thank you for everything.
