I'm always amazed by the Portuguese hospitality, but what I experienced in Casa das Freiras, is beyond anything. The hosts, the place, the breakfast were all incredible. There is no short review that could describe it. <3

This charming boutique hotel, surrounded by vineyards and overlooking the Douro River, is a peaceful escape. The friendly staff will make you feel welcome, and the hotel's simple yet stylish design creates a relaxing atmosphere that truly captures the essence of this exceptional region.
The bedrooms were clean and spacious and the beds were comfortable. The aircon was working properly and is absolutely needed during the Summer. Nature is astonishing and the village is beautiful.
Incredible location in the Braganca Plateau. Beautiful flora and fauna in a uniquely renovated rural tourism within a living stone village — down to the local old folks attending church next door, and the friendy dogs. Awesome pool. Highly recommend for those who enjoy something authentic and off-the-beaten path in the depths of Portugal.
